Hi Marty

Have you specified a STUN server on the Topology section of your SIP account?

If not, please try: stun.counterpsth.net

Actually, if I put anything in the STUN box I get a 408 error.

I've tried rcps.onvoip.net (which is what I used in the working 2.0) and your suggested stun.counterpath.net (I'm assuming it was path and not psth), with the same result, 408.

setup diff between eyebeam and xlite?

Postby ecuguru » Wed Nov 15, 2006 11:16 pm

My Xlite interface worked great out of the box with my vanilla Sip interface to Asterisk. I haven't been able to get EyeBeam to work yet though. Can anyone tell me what the similarities/differences are in a basic config for an asterisk box?

screwed up EyeBeam

Postby ecuguru » Wed Nov 15, 2006 11:18 pm

I tried quitting/opening Eyebeam. Now it just opens up, tries to connect to a counterpath server, and drops dead. Crashes entirely. Haven't been able to find a preference setting to obliterate to start it over again. Is there anywhere to send crash logs to?

This is on Mac OSX 10.4.8, by the way, on a 1.42GHz Power PC G4.

You must have something that is blocking ports then.

Why would it work for Xlite 2.0 and not 3.0? Wouldn't a blocked port make both fail?

If you would like, I'll be happy to test logging into your account from here using X-Lite 3.

What info do you need? Do you have an email address, since I wouldn't really want to post my account stuff online?

Any sign of the updated IntelMac version yet?

Postby anthoc » Fri Nov 17, 2006 4:38 am

The beta is ok but usually crashes when opened (on both PPC and IntelMac) and has to be restarted a few times. Any news on the IntelMac version? Will pay good money for something that works!! :D

I've been using the Intel MAC Beta for awhile. Works reasonable well, though some issues so far:

- Plantronics USB CS-60 headset won't answer calls using the call answer button.
- If using builtin mic + speakers (as opposed to the headset), loading another "audio" applicatoion eg VLC causes Eyebeam to loose audio. Needs to be restarted for it to work.

+ Would be nice if it integrated with Apple Addressbook or LDAP.

hello
writing from italy
sorry for my english and forgive me if i'm not posting in the right place, in case let me know please!
downloaded and installed x-lite 3.0 on a macbook pro macosx 10.4.8
set up the account infos (i use voipstunt) according to the following

VoIPStunt.com
Enabled: Yes
Display Name: Enter your own name
Username: Enter your VoIPStunt username
Authorization User: Enter your VoIPStunt username again
Password: Enter your VoIPStunt password
Domain/Realm: sip.voipstunt.com
SIP Proxy: sip.voipstunt.com
Out Bound Proxy:
Use Outbound Proxy: Default
Send Internal IP: Never
Register: Default

it often crashes at start (two three times before i get it working fine)
several times had to restart cause i couldn't hear anything even if the connection was estabilished
last issue: since this morning i could not succeed in calling anyone: i start the call, after a while it says: call failed: internal server error.
the funny thing is that i tried with my home phone, and actually it was still ringing even if i was already disconnected (xlite said HUNGUP) until when i quit xlite

any idea?
thanks a lot
sergio
